In this Online CLGS Queer & Latinx Faith Conversation PSR alum Rev. Rhina Ramos shares her experiences working with LGBTQ communities in El Salvador.

Rev. Rhina Ramos is the pastor of Ministerio Latino, an open and affirming UCC congregation in Oakland, California. Ministerio Latino is a Spanish-speaking faith community that uplifts, embraces, and empowers LGBTQI Latines.  She also serves as the National Coordinator of Encuentros Latinx, a program of the National United Church of Christ that creates inclusion for the LGBTQ and Latine communities within UCC churches.

A graduate of Hofstra University School of Law (1995), Rev. Ramos also earned an MDiv degree from Pacific School of Religion in 2003.  She is an experienced community organizer, having led programs and campaigns for educational equity, labor rights, human rights of the LGBTQI community, international solidarity with El Salvador and the prevention of domestic violence.
