Come and learn about the fight for LGBTQ rights in El Salvador! This evening will be filled with stories of the work currently being done in El Salvador and the people who make it happen. Proceeds from the night will directly fund the Transgender Day of Remembrance (Nov. 10) in El Salvador, an event that honors the lives of trans* people who have been killed for being who they are. It is also a celebration of our trans* siblings who are still fighting for basic human dignity and rights in their country. Stand in international solidarity with our LGBTQ family in El Salvador!
ALDES (La Oficina de Asistencia Legal para la Diversidad Sexual de El Salvador) is a non-profit organization in the US working in solidarity with LGBT organizations and activists in El Salvador to denounce human rights violations and create international awareness of their issues.
There is no fee entrance for this event. Donations welcomed and appreciated. Refreshments will be provided.
