Rev. Elizabeth Leung, Ph.D.
Coordinator, Asian and Pacific Islander Roundtable
Elizabeth Leung joined CLGS as Coordinating Minister of the Asian and Pacific Islander Roundtable in the spring of 2007. She coordinates the Network on Religion and Justice for Asian and Pacific Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender People. (Read more on the Network.) Rev. Leung is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ and a trained spiritual director. Elizabeth Leung earned her Ph.D. from the Graduate Theological Union in 2006 in the field of Christian Spirituality.
Rev. Leung coordinates programs and events of the Network on Religion and Justice for Asian and Pacific Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender People (NRJ-API-LGBT), facilitates community building among API-LGBT persons active in various faith traditions, convenes an API clergy caucus and supports strategies for education, outreach, and social change. Her experiences and gifts provide valuable theological expertise, ministerial services and programmatic support to make a positive difference in the lives of Asian and Pacific Islander LGBT people.
