Rev. Gwen Thomas, the Coordinator of the CLGS African American Roundtable, is an avowed Liberation Theologian and Womanist.  A candidate for ordination in The Fellowship and ministerial licensing in the UCC, she currently serves as a lay minister at the Victory UCC in Stone Mountain, Georgia.  At Victory she is the coordinator of the Gateway Ministry which reaches out to LGBT individuals and allies in the congregation; Gateway Ministry supports and celebrates LGBT individuals, families and groups and is committed to ensuring that LGBT persons are fully engaged into the ministry and life of the church.

Gwen also teaches adult-level Christian education and facilitates many women’s retreats and spiritual workshops and is presently a consultant for the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ.  At the national level of the denomination Gwen is a part of the leadership team for UCAN (The United Church of Christ HIV/AIDS Network) and is on the Advisory board for the Center for Progressive Renewal and is a writer for Faith Practices. She is the former Interim Executive Director for UCC Coalition for LGBT Concerns.
