In January 2007 CLGS partnered with the National Center for Transgender Equality to host the first ever Transgender Religious Leadership Summit, which took place on the campus of Pacific School of Religion. More than sixty participants from around the country met to discuss and strategize around both civic and religious concerns among transgender people. During the second summit in January 2008, participants committed to forming a Transgender Roundtable to support and sustain this important work. CLGS is facilitating the formation of this roundtable.
