Stop the Church or Stop AIDS?

December 3, 2009 at 12:00pm to 1:30pm

The marking of World AIDS Day continues with this special lavender lunch on the role religion plays in both HIV prevention and AIDS treatment. We'll begin with a short documentary film at noon on Thursday, December 3, "Stop the Church," which chronicles the ACT UP action at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City in 1989. Following the film, at 12:30, a panel of PSR students will engage in conversation around the religious, theological, and spiritual issues the HIV/AIDS pandemic raises for us today. Bring your lunch to the Mudd Building on the PSR Campus, Room 100, and CLGS will provide drinks and dessert.
