CLGS Lavender Lunch: San Francisco Night Ministry

April 12, 2012 at 1:00pm to 2:00pm

PSR Mudd Building, Room 100

The SF Night Ministry has been providing non-judgmental and compassionate  pastoral care on the streets of San Francisco since 1964. The people we minister to range from our homeless sisters and brothers to our friends in the bars and pubs as well as those in the cafes, diners and donut shops. Come and hear stories of two ministers who have walked into a bar as part of their ministry.

Rev. Thom Longino is a 2004 M.Div. graduate of the Pacific School of Religion, and was born and raised in the Southeast of the United States. Thom is ordained in the UCC, and describes himself as UCC with a Lutheran twist. Thom is both a member of St. John's UCC and Ebenezer/herchurch Lutheran in San Francisco. Thom has worked in various ministry settings, and has been working as an Associate Night Minister with San Francisco Night Ministry since 2008. One of Thom's interests in ministry is exploring ways how a male spirituality that integrates the Divine Feminine can affect personal change.
