CSR Courses
Required and elective coursework for the CSR program can be taken through a variety of means. PSR offers several courses each year that are designed specifically with CSR requirements in mind (“CSR-Designed Courses”). Other PSR courses and courses at other GTU schools will sometimes meet those requirements as well (“CSR-Suitable Courses"). In addition, some courses can be taken, in consultation with the instructor, so as to meet CSR expectations (“CSR-Potential Courses”).
Courses in the latter of those three categories require approval from the CSR Coordinator, who will also discern with the student which of the courses will work for CSR requirements and which ones will work for electives. Other courses may fulfill CSR requirements depending on the CSR student’s interests and goals; again, these need to be approved by the CSR Coordinator.
Summer session and Intersession courses are usually offered for 1.5 credits (for more information on PSR's Summer Session, go here); semester courses are usually offered for 3.0 credits and some are offered online. Summer session courses may also be taken for Continuing Education Units rather than full academic credit (but CEUs cannot count toward the Certificate).
Questions about coursework and requirements can be directed to Jay Johnson (jjohnson[at]clgs[dot]org).
For more information on how to apply to the Certificate of Sexuality and Religion program or as a special student, go to the PSR website. Information about summer session courses can be found here.(Unless otherwise noted in the following list, the instructors for these couress are associated with PSR.)
