Gina de Vries
Gina de Vries is a queer, sex-positive writer and activist from San Francisco. She has organized grassroots conferences and spoken before international convenings on the rights of LGBT people, and has served on the LGBT Advisory Committee to the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, the San Francisco Youth Commission, and the Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center's (LYRIC) Board of Directors. She was Curve magazine's "Hey! Baby" columnist from 1997-2004, and she graduated from Hampshire College in 2005. Gina is currently a Board member for Youth Trans & Intersex Education Services (Youth TIES), an Advisory Board member for the Center for Sex & Culture, and head curator for the San Francisco in Exile Performance Series (SFinX). She is the co-editor of [Becoming], and her writing has also appeared in That's Revolting!: Queer Resistances to Assimilation, Baby Remember My Name: An Anthology Of New Queer Girl Writing, TransForming Community, The Revolution Starts at Home, Sodom & Me: Queers on Fundamentalism, GenderQuery, and Bound to Struggle: Where Kink and Radical Politics Meet. She writes about sexuality, spirituality, culture, and politics for the national LGBT blog bilerico.com. She is thrilled to work at CLGS.
